An invoice is a document similar to a Brazilian tax receipt (Nota Fiscal), widely used in international payments.
It is important for making international transfers safely, in accordance with the law.
Is the invoice mandatory?
Not all cases require an invoice. However, it is always recommended to generate this document, as it serves as a receipt of the transactions carried out.
For tax regulations, an invoice is mandatory for transfers over US$ 50,000 (fifty thousand dollars), or the equivalent in another currency.
What should be on an invoice?
The invoice must contain at least these four main pieces of information:
- Who is paying?
- Who is receiving?
- What service or product was provided?
- What is the amount?
